Assignment #4

For this project I tried to pay attention to how I was using my space.  I'm happy with the outcome, I feel like my compositions were better planned then they have been in previous assignments.

The most interesting thing I learned from this assignment is not what I expected.  From photographing high-key and low-key images side-by-side, I noticed how the dark and light images seem to carry a different mood.  The darker images tend to 'feel' a bit depressing, while the white images come across as pristine and elegant.  It would be interesting to try finding a way to photograph a dark image in a way that didn't come across as so emotionally dark....  I was also surprised by how different the camera's ideal exposure and my ideal exposure was, I expected a difference, but certainly not that much.  In the future I will be much more conscious of how my exposure is set.
